Are you ready for some football? Kickoff your Super Bowl party with these winning game day dips that are impossible to fumble, and score some extra points with your guests!
Hot Buffalo Chicken Dip
Spicy and tangy Buffalo Chicken dip is everything you love about wings in one simple dish. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of canned chicken breast (or poach and shred your own), one 8-ounce package of cream cheese, ½ cup of ranch dressing, ½ cup of crumbled blue cheese, 1 cup of shredded cheddar, and ½ cup of your favorite hot sauce. Mix well and spoon into a shallow baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 20-30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly (remove foil the last 5 minutes of cook time). Serve with crackers, carrots, and celery of course!
Game Day Guacamole
The perfect dip for tortilla chips, Game Day Guacamole will be tackled by your guests as soon as it hits the table. Start with four large Haas avocados. Ripe avocados should yield to gentle pressure — so pick ones that are not too firm and not too soft. Wash and then slice around your avocados vertically. Separate the two halves, and remove the stone. Using a large spoon, scoop out the meat of the avocado, and place it in a large food processor. Add 2 tablespoons of sour cream, a clove of garlic, ½ teaspoon of salt, and the juice of 2 limes and blend well. Place your guacamole in a serving bowl and stir in fresh chopped cilantro, diced Roma tomatoes and diced red onion to spice things up! Serve cold, with tortilla chips, and hot sauce on the side for guests who like a little extra heat.
Beer and Cheese Dip
With beer and sharp cheddar, this dip is sure to be a touchdown! In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of shredded sharp cheddar, ½ cup of your favorite beer, 16-ounces of cream cheese, 1 teaspoon of dry mustard powder, a dash of Worcestershire sauce, a dash of hot sauce, and salt and pepper to taste. Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours, top with freshly diced green onions, and serve cold with salted pretzels, chopped raw peppers and broccoli florets, smoked sausage, and pumpernickel bread cubes.
Hot Pizza Dip
This crowd pleaser will have your guests cheering for spicy pepperoni and gooey cheese! Start by preheating your oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, combine 8 ounces of cream cheese with ½ teaspoon of dried oregano, ½ teaspoon of dried basil, ½ teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir well, and spread the mixture into a shallow baking dish. Top with 1 cup of your favorite pizza sauce, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, and pepperoni slices. Cover with foil and bake for 20-30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly (remove foil the last 5 minutes of cook time). Serve hot with crusty baguette slices or breadsticks.
