Clever Storage Ideas for Small Bathrooms

Clever Storage Ideas for Small Bathrooms

Small spaces always present storage issues, and this is especially true for small bathrooms. With so many different items, from makeup and body products to hair accessories and towels, it can be extremely challenging to find the right storage for everything.

Check out the clever storage ideas for small bathrooms below to make the most of your available space.

#1: Bathroom Vanity

A smartly designed bathroom vanity in the right size can be a lifesaver for any bathroom, and this is especially true for small bathrooms. A vanity provides plenty of drawer and cabinet space for most of your items and conceals them so that your bathroom always looks chic and tidy.

#2: Utilize the Inside of Cabinet Doors

Put the inside of your cabinet doors to work by attaching a metal rack, container or even a magazine holder to it. This is ideal for storing items like flat irons, blow dryers and brushes. Not only will they be organized and easy to get to, but they’ll also free up prime space in your drawers for other products and accessories.

#3: Towel Rack Alternatives

If you don’t have space for a traditional wall-mounted towel rack, or prefer a different way to store your towels, try one of these alternative suggestions:

  • Hang them on the back of the bathroom door, either with a rack specifically made for the door or with hooks that complement your décor.
  • Roll them up and place them in a beautiful basket that you keep under the sink or on the side of a vanity. This is a lovely way to display towels, especially if you want a contemporary, hotel-like vibe.
  • If you have a traditional towel rack that you’re not a fan of, replace it with a few cabinet knobs. These come in a variety of shapes, sizes and styles, so you’re sure to find ones that are perfect for your bathroom.

#4: Under the Sink Storage

If you have a cabinet under your bathroom sink, you’re probably all-too familiar with how quickly it can become a disorganized mess! This can be avoided if you have the right containers or storage solutions. Two of our favorites are Lazy Susans and sliding drawers.

A Lazy Susan is great for storing extra bottles of supplies like shampoo, conditioner, body wash and shaving cream, allowing you to easily grab them when needed. It also provides visibility so you can quickly check stock on items before heading to the store.

Sliding drawers make efficient use of open cabinet space and enable you to get what you need without having to awkwardly bend to reach all the way to the back of the cabinet.
